Rairaid are fast swimming Pokémon that use electrical pulses to stun other Pokémon in the water. Their long, trailing tail acts to signify their success to other Rairaid, with longer tails indicating a more desirable partner.

A Rairaid uses its abdominal muscles to forcefully expel swallowed water, then shoot down flying prey. If it stores too much electricity, its behavior turns aggressive.
