Rosekarp struggles to swim due to the roses that grow on its body. Although Rosekarp is slow-moving and easy to catch, it secretes a bitter-tasting poison that most predators cannot tolerate.

Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents. It attracts prey with a sweet aroma, then downs it with thorny whips hidden in its arms.
