Sabldew's body is a chaotic cluster of gems it's consumed. It can reveal the gem on top of its head to distract other gemstone-eaters into leaving their food unguarded.
Over the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold. It digs branching holes in caves using its sharp claws in search of food--raw gems.
