Surges of draconic energy cause the wings on the back of Salacargo's shell to grow, giving it the ability to glide through the volcanic valleys it calls home. If its wings or shell are damaged, it grows enraged and begins to spew flames everywhere.

The shell on its back is made of hardened magma. After many long years, its cellular structure underwent a sudden mutation to grow wings.
