This Pokémon's body is made of sandstone, and it is theorized that its head, which is made of loose sand, is gradually compacted into the body below to make it grow. It lives on beaches that provide both the water and sand required for this purpose.

Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body. It likes the shovel on its head, so Sandybink will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back.
