Ariava sets up countless webs before hiding itself away. Rather than waiting for prey to stumble into webs, it uses shockwaves generated by its beating wings to knock them into the sticky threads.
It looses ultrasonic waves by rubbing its wings together. Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls.
