Yadle uses its strong sense of smell to locate decaying foliage to eat. Yadle are seen in abundance during the autumn months.

Yauna remains immobile as it clings to dead or decaying trees. The mask on Yauna seems to change slightly over time.

Yadrill communicate by changing the expression of the face on their abdomen. When a Yadrill's nest is being threatened, the faces on all of the Yadrill in the nest become angry.

The mask hanging from Yarita's head gives off a pungent, rotten smell. Yarita uses this smell to deter potential predators. In battle, Yarita will weaponize this odor to cause nausea in its opponents.

The fragrance emitted from Yanium's flower evokes feelings of sadness. Yanium is not immune to this odor and is in a near-perpetual state of tears.

The mask on Yagey's chest is always looking towards its nest. If the eyes on the mask are closed, then Yagey does not have a nest.

Yahoot seems to have a sixth sense for when someone is about to die, often appearing near those moments away from death. This had led Yahoot to become an omen of death.

Yatu is often found in places where people have died. Yatu's eyes are always following something that isn't there.

Yatu is said to have the ability to see roaming spirits. It's believed that Yatu uses its mask to hide its ability in fear of what the roaming spirits would do if they knew.

Feathers from Yageot are common grave offerings due to their gorgeous and glossy look. However, many people avoid carrying these feathers with them for too long, as they are said to attract spirits.

Yatata are extremely cautious. They often hold the mask they carry on their tails into a room before entering themselves.

Yama is able to flap its wings extremely fast, though no matter how fast Yama flaps its wings, it is still unable to separate its spirit from its body.

Yarow uses the mask it carries in its talon to lure its prey into marshes or swamps. Its long neck and elongated beak make it easy to catch prey trapped in mud.

Yachu stores electricity in the mask it wears on its back. When frightened, Yachu will discharge the electricity through the mouth of the mask. The noise the discharged electricity makes is akin to screams.

Yaoh is said to roam graveyards for lost spirits. Legend says the mask that Yaoh carries shows the face of the spirit they are guiding to the next life.

If Yachu stores too much electricity in its mask, its behavior will turn gloomy. To avoid this, Yachu will occasionally discharge electricity from the mouth of the mask. Those who happen to hear the discharge often confuse it for screams.

Yashrew will curl up into a ball to defend against attacks while leaving the mask on its tail exposed to scare away its attacker.

Yaran releases tears from the eyes of its mask as a form of protection. These tears are highly toxic and their potency increases with Yaran's level of distress.

Yapix hides the mask it carries under its six tails. It's said that if one were to look at this mask, the eyes on the mask would open and curse whoever viewed it.

Yapuff's song is said to cause feelings of sadness in those who hear it. It can often be found singing at funerals.

Yamander uses the flame on the tip of its tail to warp the mask it's holding to reflect its current mood. Yamander often gets frustrated when it is unable to accurately depict its emotions.

Yabat vibrates its mask to create high-frequency sounds to navigate through dark caves. Yabat is rumored to have eyes hidden behind its mask.

The mask Yamask carries used to resemble its face in life. Every time Yamask looks at its mask, Yamask grows to resent the mask more, causing the mask to distort even further.

When stalking prey Yabat will keep its mouth closed, joining the two halves of its mask. These halves will separate once Yabat is about to attack.

When Yalie removes its mask, it emits a black mist from its mouth that instills a sense of dread in those who breathe it in.

The face-like structure on Yaish's head is not a modified leaf but actually a seed. This seed will begin to weep when Yaish finds a suitable place to plant it.

During the night Yaplume release black pollen. Yaplume's eyes are often irritated by its own pollen, so it wears a mask to protect its eyes.

Yaras's body is said to have multiple spirits within it. The size of each gold mushroom on its back is dictated by whichever spirit has the most control.

When one of the spirits contained in Yasect's body gains full control, the mushroom on its back grows to cover most of its body to reflect the spirit's dominance.

Yanat is said to be able to peer into the souls of those it sees. Yanat is often brought to tears by what it sees.

Yatad rests in lakes and ponds but is often disturbed by people who mistake the mask on its back for a drowning person. It is rumored that this mask resembles those who have drowned in the waters where Yatad resides.

Yameleon's body heats up when it battles, causing its mask to become malleable. This leads to its mask resembling the last opponent it has faced.

Yalett is sometimes seen conversing with the mask it carries around. If Yalett is caught conversing with its mask, it will quickly burrow away.

It's said that Yatrio was originally one spirit but split itself into three due to its loneliness. The masks on Yatrio are said to represent different aspects of the original spirit.

Yath likes to collect shiny coins. Yath has been seen leaving the coins it collects at graves.

Yasian uses the mask it carries with its tail as a second pair of eyes. The eyes on the mask will only close if Yasian is around someone it is comfortable with.

Yale is usually seen dancing with pom-poms by itself. It seems to be cheering for someone that isn't there.

Yaeal rolls around at night looking for someone to play with, though Yaeal often scares away potential playmates because of the ghastly expression it makes when excited.

Yanine is extremely loyal and is said to guard the graves of their trainers after they pass. This has led to a number of graveyard attendants being attacked by Yanine because they were mistaken for grave robbers.

Yaizard uses the flame on the tip of its tail to lure out strong opponents. Yaizard changes the face on its belly to memorialize an opponent it has deemed worthy.

Yawag uses the mask it carries with its tail as a paddle to swim faster in the water. The spirals on its stomach will change direction based on whether the eyes on the mask are open or closed.

Yara does not like its face being seen, so it will teleport to a dark place and use its mask to disguise itself as a human or Pokémon that has recently died.

Yabra uses its psychic abilities to read the minds of those who approach it and uses its mask to disguise itself as someone dear to that person. It is unknown if Yabra does this maliciously.

Yakazam shows grieving people projections of the recently deceased using its two floating masks. Yakazam is responsible for a number of ghost sightings throughout the region.

Yasprout often takes root in barren places. The gold head Yasprout carries is used to store water, while the mask is used to clear obstructions to make planting its roots easier.

The mask in Yabell's mouth keeps whatever it swallows from escaping. The mask resembles the face of the last thing Yabell has swallowed.

Yacool hides itself on the sea floor, only leaving the two masks on its head exposed. When Yacool senses potential prey, it will spew poison from its masks into the surrounding area to paralyze its target.

Yata is sometimes seen at night galloping through graveyards. The mask on Yata's side resembles one of its parents.

Yadash has been spotted dashing through graveyards at night. Yadash seems to be looking for something or someone.

The face on Yano's pendulums will resemble a deceased person the viewer knew. Yano will then feed on the memories the viewer shared with the deceased until the deceased is completely forgotten by the viewer.

After a forest faces a disaster, Phantoh descends and makes a home in the remains of the forest. Phantoh's presence is said to bring life to wherever it resides.

Phantom is said to be the spirits of trees that were struck down by lightning during storms. The ambient buzzing of forests can often be attributed to Phantom.

Phantra is extremely shy and will watch those who enter the forest from a distance. Phantra has rarely been seen leaving berries for those who are respectful of the forest before quickly teleporting away.

Phantno is often found playing music from its flute-like nose in forested areas. Children who hear Phantno's music will begin to dance in a trance-like state.

Dheltomp spends most of its time at the bottom of swamps. The vegetation all over its body helps keep its skin from drying out on the rare occasion it leaves the swamp.

Dhelplup lives alone in the kelp forest it creates. Dhelplup has been seen lifting shipwrecked sailors out of the ocean using seaweed from its forest, but it's believed this is done to maintain its solitude.

Poochmel releases smoke from its hump whenever it tries to intimidate foes. Poochmel often loses its targets due to its vision being obstructed by the smoke it emits.

Mumask cries viscous sludge every time it looks at its mask. It has cried so much that the mask is unrecognizable due to the thick layer of sludge. The memory of the mask still brings Mumask to tears.
