Sandwile is known to preserve the bodies of its prey in the sand within its jaws. However, it is forgetful and often forgets about its dehydrated prey, dropping them when it opens its mouth to catch something else.

Unlike a wild Sandslash, Sandwile cannot curl into a ball. Instead, it blocks attacks with its armored maw, which is so hard that not even a Houndoom bite can crack it.

The symbol Sandwile carries in its hair is similar to a human symbol that means 'life.' Some have proposed that it carries this symbol to lure humans into a false sense of security, making them easier prey.

Venuowl sleeps at the top of the forest canopy during the day, allowing the sun to beam down on its flower. When the flower blooms, Venuowl grows lighter, allowing it to glide more gracefully and silently.

Because of the shape of its jaws, Mawslash has been known to curl into a ball and roll down steep hills, catching smaller Pokémon by simply rolling them into the cage made up of its teeth.

While Wurmple spend most of their time eating in order to evolve, Duscple doesn't need to eat. It's said its sustenance comes from absorbing the souls of those who touch its shadow while it hangs from the branches of trees.

Duscscoon is much lighter than it looks because its cocoon is almost completely hollow. Inside, only a ball of shadowy flame rages, ripe to eventually transform into something new and terrible.

Though many Ghost-types are nocturnal, Dusctox prefers the dusk. It is believed by some that this is because the setting sun casts long shadows, and those who stand under the shadow of Dusctox's wings have their souls absorbed by it.

This little Pokémon never needs to eat, drink, or even breathe. All its body's sustenance is provided by its spatial link to the stars, with excess energy being released constantly in the form of superheated flames.

An elegant fighter, its agile midair attacks are often more for showmanship than violence. Though the feathers on its arms have bladelike qualities, it may need to strike foes more than a hundred times before they are defeated.

The spikes on its shell look like ice but are harder than diamonds. They are formed under the enormous pressure at the very bottom of the sea.

In the wild, Victreeizard's false head is usually hidden inside its mouth, though it is always visible when it is fighting. When potential prey gets too close, it is known to become impatient and snap at it, allowing it to escape.

Dewslash is known to loiter on ice sheets without moving for days at a time. It has no fear of predators, because its layered spines make its back almost impossible to attack it.
