It uses its psychic powers to create mud-covered bubbles, which it plays with alongside other Pokémon. When it gets very hot, Barew rolls around in the swamp and lets the mud cool its skin.
Barew's body is coated with a layer of slippery slime, making it difficult to hold onto. It is an affectionate sort, floating up to strangers and rubbing on them, smearing its slime across them in the process.
