Legends say that Bregigas once hibernated for thousands of years in an empty field, where life and nature spread from their bodies creating forests and agriculture. The mushroom growing from their head is said to be their life source.

There is an enduring legend that states this Pokémon towed continents with ropes. It scatters spores from holes in the cap on its head.
