Small and meek, Budot are quick to flee at the first sign of danger, such as a loud noise. In spring, they exude a pleasant, nutty fragrance, and their stems partly sprout. In winter, they become inactive and hide; they often hide within trees.
It hangs off branches and absorbs nutrients. Over the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold.
