During new moons, Clefsect's mushroom leaks a peculiar cheddar-scented fluid used in cocktails throughout the Johto region. The more it eats the day before, the more fluid it produces.

Clefsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. On nights with many shooting stars, Clefsect can be seen dancing in a ring.
