Cofarantis hates when its body is stained with dirt, residing near the oases of the desert in an effort to always be clean. It manipulates shadows to create miniature bugs, often using them to ward away predators.

It requires a lot of effort to maintain Cofarantis's vivid coloring, but some collectors enjoy this work and treat it as their hobby. They pretend to be elaborate coffins to teach lessons to grave robbers.
