Concealed within Dhelgast's sand-like body is a rusty chain that it lashes out to wrap around prey while hiding in dense kelp forests. It drags them deeper into the kelp, slowly draining their energy as they struggle.

It likes the shovel on its head, so Dhelgast will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back. The soul of seaweed adrift in the waves became reborn as this Pokémon.
