The toadstools on Ferrosect's body are extremely sharp and as hard as iron. It uses them to dig into stone to find suitable places to spread its spores.

Ferrosect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. They attach themselves to cave ceilings, firing steel spikes at targets passing beneath them.
