In order for Ho-rantis to create brilliant, gorgeous rainbows, it must be given plenty of fresh, pure water and bright sunshine every day. While it may be an elegant Pokémon, it won't hesitate to slash at opponents with overwhelmingly powerful flames.

It requires a lot of effort to maintain Ho-rantis's vivid coloring, but some collectors enjoy this work and treat it as their hobby. Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy.
