Attracted to machinery, Klefthorn uses its key-ended tendrils to embed itself into the machines when at rest. Every member of the species has a unique set of keys and teeth, so no two will leave behind the same grooves.

They attach themselves to cave ceilings, firing steel spikes at targets passing beneath them. It never lets go of a key that it likes, so people give it the keys to vaults and safes as a way to prevent crime.
