Magking maintain a body temperature high enough that combustible material bursts into flames on contact with them. They are cantankerous Pokémon and will freely get into fights with one another; the resulting blasts of fire often cause forest fires.

A Magking's thick tail packs enormously destructive power capable of toppling a metal transmission tower. In battle, it blows out intense flames from all over its body to intimidate its foe.
