Mewpi enjoy being exposed to compassionate feelings, but are shy and reluctant to reveal themselves. They have been observed creating an eggshell around themselves, hiding in the nests of other Pokémon so that they can experience parental care.

As its energy, it uses the feelings of compassion and pleasure exuded by people and Pokémon. A Mewpi is said to possess the genes of all Pokémon.
