Many Mudple can be found within swamps and marshes, specifically in burrows made near mud and near the edge of water. They primarily feed on algae and aquatic herbs, though they will also eat fruits and leaves often enough.

It sticks to tree branches and eats leaves. On land, it can powerfully lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving.
