Nidobuzz bangs on its chest to produce electric sparks from its spines. It uses the display as an intimidation tactic, typically done to protect smaller Pokémon it has grown fond of.

When a storm approaches, it competes with others to scale heights that are likely to be stricken by lightning. When it is with its friends or family, its barbs are tucked away to prevent injury.
