Ninpod clings to trees to conserve energy while it waits out its evolution process. It is not helpless, however, as the stored energy allows it to fly away suddenly at high speeds should a predator approach.

Its shell is as hard as an iron slab. Because it darts about vigorously at high speed, it is very difficult to see.
