Paraturne stands motionless in the middle of the desert until something living moves near it. It then fires off numerous cactus spines from its body meant to pierce and infect its targets.

After spending thousands of years in harsh deserts, its blood transformed into the same substances as sand. Paraturne are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
