Usually mistaken for a sapling in its native rain forests, Paraphox is content to stay still during daylight hours. At sundown, it comes to life, using a flammable mushroom as a torch to attract unsuspecting Bug types.
Paraphox root themselves in one spot on clear days to absorb as much sunlight as they can. To ward off threats, Paraphox flicks their mushroom to cast a spore cloud before sneezing to ignite them.
It gazes into the flame at the tip of its branch to achieve a focused state, which allows it to see into the future. Paraphox are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
