Parapex are able to remain still for nearly a week, waiting for prey to try taking a bite out of their mushroom-like tentacles. When bitten, they spit out a poisonous liquid, leaving their prey weakened.

Those attacked by Parapex's poison will suffer intense pain for three days and three nights. Parapex are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
