These Pokémon wander forests and spit fire at anything or anyone they deem to be a threat to the forest. If they encounter anyone who is lost, they will try to guide them to safety; some stories claim this is because Phantchic were once lost spirits.
If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach. These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest.
