Very few have ever laid eyes on a Waleye, as it seems to only ever appear during the harshest of snowstorms. Such accounts claim that Waleye diligently protected those lost in the blizzard until they were able to find shelter.
It digs branching holes in caves using its sharp claws in search of food--raw gems. To protect its herd, the leader battles anything that invades its territory, even at the cost of its life.
