The flowers on its head are actually compound leaves. The leaflets spread out to gather as much sunlight as possible until it has the energy to dance; then the waxy leaves of its skirt make little squeaking sounds when they rub against each other.

Its flower petals deepen in color through exposure to sunlight. Sunossom try to minimize movement to conserve the nutrients they have stored in their bodies for evolution.
