Swelliper flies through ocean storms with its mouth open. Should it accidentally catch a smaller aquatic or bird Pokémon in its bill, it refuses to let go and keeps them as a meal.
Swelliper are known to use their huge beaks to carry around young bird Pokémon which have fallen out of their nest until those Pokémon can fly on their own.
