On misty mornings, hikers through forests can sometimes distantly spot groups of Syltump cheerfully playing together. It is said that any child who joins their play becomes spirited away by the mist and transforms into a Syltump.
These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest. It sends a soothing aura from its ribbonlike feelers to calm fights.
