The heavy petals growing from Torchplume's head make prolonged movement tiring, so it often spends its days basking in sunlight. A cloud of heated toxic pollen surrounds it, discouraging most Pokémon from coming near.

In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Torchplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach.
