Though it has a large mouth, it can only breathe out small flames; it loves to hold large foods in its mouth and roast them with these flames. It fans out its tail feathers when agitated and bites at the air to intimidate others.
If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach. Its immense jaws have enough destructive force that it can chew up an automobile.
