Venutung marks its territory in the jungle by licking tree trunks, since its saliva has a very pungent odor. If it fails to absorb enough solar energy, the petals of the flower on its back begin to turn brown and wither.
Whenever it sees something unfamiliar, it always licks the object because it memorizes things by texture and taste. Venutung's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight.
