Venupoke enjoys nothing more than to lounge in the sun all day, soaking up nutrients. It would much rather photosynthesize than go fishing with its tail.

Venupoke are rarely stirred from their sedentary state. When temperatures rise, however, they become agitated and overactive. When stimulated, they rapidly release spores from their flowering buds that cause allergic reactions within a mile's radius.

It catches prey by dipping its tail in water at the side of a river. Venupoke's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight.
