Wingbusken searches for food by repeatedly jabbing its beak into the sand, often getting stuck in the process. After being pulled free by a passer-by, it will usually pause for a moment before trying the exact same spot again.

Wingbusken's loud squawks are infamous among tourists. Fearless around people, it will approach strangers and stare at them intently. If ignored, it begins squawking, flapping its arms, and charging in the hopes of stealing dropped food.

It lashes out with 10 kicks per second. It makes its nest on a sheer cliff at the edge of the sea.
