Shellidos's tongue is sensitive enough to alert it to the movements of others nearby. If it detects the approach of something, it whirls around and charges into others, striking them with the sturdy half-shell on its cranium.

It lived in jungles around 100 million years ago. At night, it burrows a hole in the seafloor with its broad tongue to make a place to sleep.
