Shroomshrew and Cacturne have developed a protocooperative relationship; Cacturne can chew up and spit out sand in a form in which Shroomshrew can consume. In return, Shroomshrew finds prey during the day for Cacturne to stalk at night.
When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly. It loves to eat damp, composted soil in forests.
