If disturbed while dozing, Slowplume puffs poisonous spores from the enormous petals on its head. It is an extremely lazy Pokémon that would rather float in the water without a single thought in mind than fight with others.

In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Slowplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. It catches prey by dipping its tail in water at the side of a river.
