This Pokémon is a central figure in Celestic Town's annual Hallows Eve festival and is regarded as a living link to Sinnoh's past. Many Sinnohian natives believe Typhbro to have the ability to commune with their ancient ancestors.

Fusion seems to have triggered dormant genes in Typhbro's Typhlosion half. It sometimes zones out and stares into space, which some say is how it communes with spirits.

Its tail has a Shellder firmly attached with a bite. It can hide behind a shimmering heat haze that it creates using its intense flames.
