It is covered in a shell of solid ice, so it resides in a frozen cave to further slow the melting of its shell. Swiuna breathes out cold air to keep its shell cold and only stops doing this as it nears its evolution.
It remains virtually immobile while it clings to a tree. It roots for food by rubbing its snout against the ground.
