Magshrew prefer to live in hot sands until their own internal flames grow strong enough. Once they begin to spit out yellow fire, they have grown strong enough to keep their dens warm by themselves.
When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly. If a Magshrew is spouting yellow flames from its mouth, it is in good health.
