Seeing a Ho-gia is regarded as a good omen throughout Johto. They are said to bless those setting out on a journey and bring good fortune to those returning.
Ho-gia is so powerful even a light fluttering of its wings can blow apart houses. Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy.
