Arctump is a ghostly spirit that inhabits remote forests across the land. Only children can travel its domain unscathed; adults are teleported back to the entrance, their minds left hazy and confused.
These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest. It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms.
