Pipsaur trot along the beds of shallow seas, though they are more common in colder waters. They live through photosynthesis, the oxygen produced being released as bubbles from the bulbs on their backs.
Pipsaur can be seen napping in bright sunlight. Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people.
