Ninkoal pumps out a large amount of fog to obscure its movements in the wild. It moves with a great deal more speed than one would expect, its silhouette seeming to vanish from within the smoke.

It battles using energy it gets from burning coal. Because it darts about vigorously at high speed, it is very difficult to see.
