As Chandelrem burns spirits, its ghostly energy expands and tries to break out of its body. However, thanks to its freezing, transparent ice body, its ghostly flames are kept bound inside.

It generates a powerful, freezing energy inside itself, but its body became frozen when the energy leaked out. Being consumed in Chandelrem's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind.
