Slakern only requires a tiny amount of regular sunlight to continue functioning, so once it finds a suitable spot, it spends ninety-five percent of its life sleeping, photosynthesizing while it does so.

Slakern try to minimize movement to conserve the nutrients they have stored in their bodies for evolution. It sleeps virtually all day and night long.
