Sablurk hoards gold and gemstones within its hollow body. It will occasionally feed on the gems it stores, but will leave the gold untouched.
It is said that Sablurk were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them. It digs branching holes in caves using its sharp claws in search of food--raw gems.
