Without light, the impurities on Necrorona will instead take oxygen from the air for energy. Once Necrorona devours some light, the impurities will ignite and burn away from its body.
A sea of fire engulfs the surroundings of their battles, since they use their six wings to scatter their ember scales. Light is apparently the source of its energy.
