Swiredge tend to have tumultuous relationships with Fire-type Pokémon for reasons that are still not entirely clear. Some say that Swiredge are the spirits of patisseries that had little financial success in life.

Apparently this Pokemon is born when a departed spirit inhabits a sword. To entangle its opponents in battle, it extrudes white threads as sweet and sticky as cotton candy.
